So let’s get going! Troy and I are on the bus, enroute to NYC and then Newark Airport. Huge THANK YOU to Carla who drove us to Baltimore to begin this first stage of the two days it will take to get to Saint Jean Pied du Pont, a small town in southwest France where thousands of Pilgrims start their journey on “the road to Santiago.”

Our travels will take us from Newark to London for 24 hours of seeing the sights. Then short flight to Biarritz, France where  we take another bus to Bayonne. The  next day we train to Saint Jean Pied du Pont.  Yes, it would have been possible to fly more directly but, at almost twice the cost, it would take the fun out of the journey (and besides, those who know me know I would never pay more just to save a few hours – geeeeze).
